South Central Scholar alumni held their 1st Alumni Association meeting at the South Central Scholars' office on Thursday, August 20th. Open Elections were held between August 31st and October 12th, and the Executive Committee positions were filled. The Executive Committee subsequently met on Wednesday, October 21st and November 3rd for 2010 Tactical Planning.
The following are recent decisions or annoucements pertaining to the Alumni Association:
- Membership Dues for the Alumni Association were voted at $40.00 per year, due on January 1st of each fiscal year. The purchase of life-time dues will be discussed at a later time.
-Our Executive Committee performs overall leadership and operational management for the Alumni Association. The following six (6) positions make up the Executive Committee: (a) 2 Co-Presidents; (b) 1 Secretary; (c) 1 Treasurer; (d) 1 Outreach Director; and (e) 1 Board Liaison. Although the Executive Committe postions have been filled, the Alumni Association accepts applications for association membership throughout the year! Dues will not be required for AA membership until January 1, 2010. If you are interested in becoming a member, please go to the following link:
